Access
Students have full access to all the features of their university’s RoommateClick from any computer with a Web connection and a browser. They carry out the entire roommate selection process themselves, and in most cases need no help or support either from university staff or from RoommateClick’s technical experts.

The User Profile
On their first visit students create a personal profile by filling out data fields selected by their university’s housing department. We also encourage them to write a more personal “free text” description of themselves, to complete a short questionnaire and to upload photos.

The Home Page
On their next and subsequent visits students log on and go directly to their Homepage. This gives them a summary of the contents of their email inbox and easy access to all the features of the site including:

Searching
Students can use multiple criteria to search for roommates (restricted only by their university’s choice of profile fields and search settings). As they sort through the results of their search, they can store potential matches in their Hotlist or contact them right away.

Automatic Alerts
If they wish, students can have RoommateClick alert them automatically by email when a new user signs up with a profile that matches their search criteria.

Secure Communication
Once they’ve identified potential roommates, students communicate with them via the secure internal RoommateClick email system. This allows them to make initial contact without divulging personal information.

Support
While Roommateclick is robust and straightforward, we know that students will sometimes need a helping hand. As you’d expect, RoommateClick has a powerful, full-featured customer support system. Users have 24/7 access to a knowledge base from which to solve problems on their own behalf, and to live support (during regular office hours) from Roosta University Solutions’ dedicated support staff. |
